I just nearly scared myself to death!

So a lot has happened since I last posted, as usual.

The first thing that happened is that I broke the computer while I was downloading music. I accidentally downloaded a virus that wouldn't let us start the computer back up. So we sent it off to my brother-in-law, Joe. And, being that he has three kids and a wife to support with two full time jobs AND while going to college, it took MONTHS to get it fixed. But that's another part of my long schpiel about everything that has been going on.

After I broke the computer I got "promoted" (it wasn't really a promotion, just getting into a position at work that pays a lot better) to cashier at work. So, instead of making the 7.45/hr I was making, I get paid 8.05/hr to put up with a bunch of crap from customers. But that's ok because when they're being all angry at me I just tune them out with a happy little tune in my head! ;D

After I got promoted, Sam and I bought a house. Let me rephrase that... a HUGE house. This sucker is 2 stories, has 5 bedrooms, and has 2 full bathrooms! How sweet is that?! But we don't use the upstairs because my brother-in-law Jason is living with us. That's ok though, he's a pretty nice guy when he's not being melodramatic.... but that can be saved for another entry because I don't feel like getting into it right now.

As great as this house is, it has a lot of problems that need to be fixed. The tenants before us took a LOT of shortcuts to "fix" all the problems this poor house has been through. The wiring is REALLY old (Ed was thinking maybe at least 30 or 40 yrs old, maybe older), so that needs to be completely redone. The plumbing was just AWFUL.... the downstairs bathroom and kitchen sink barely even drained at all. But Sam and Ed have gotten most of the plumbing done now, so YAY!!! I think the plumbing and the wiring are the worst of the problems, aside from the insulation. There is absolutely NO insulation upstairs and only the living room downstairs has insulation. So you could be burning up in the living room, then step into the dining room and freeze your butt off. But that's enough about the house.

We got our computer back that I broke so many months ago just this past Friday. So, of course, I'm all super-excited that we got the internet back and I can check my email and get on xbox live and what not. So, not even an hr ago, I'm watching videos on youtube, and all of a sudden, my computer freezes and makes this really loud buzzing sound that just wouldn't stop! Then the screen went blue and said something about the computer beginning to dump the physical memory, then a minute later the screen goes back and the computer starts trying to restart. But instead of restarting, it said something like "no bootable device- insert boot disk and press any key". So, naturally, I'm freaking out because I thought I had broken the computer AGAIN. So I call Jason and his gf Ronda downstairs to see if they would know how to fix it before I called Sam, but of course they didn't. So I call Sam while he's at a friend's house playing Dungeons and Dragons, and told him what happened. He told me all I had to do was to hold down the power button and restart the computer. So I did that and, lo and behold, the computer works fine now. I just want to know... wtf is up with me not being able to touch a computer without it doing something weird????? That NEVER happened to me before I moved to Missouri.

DANG IT!!

I made my first shirt today. It kinda turned out like crap. I am irritated. :( Hopefully I will get better with practice.

Crazy....

Yeah so Michael Jackson died yesterday. I can't really say that I was shocked or sad when I found that out. I mean the guy was just a weirdo, in a creepy way, not the good way. I think all that cosmetic surgery and skin bleach got to his brain and wacked some nuts loose. LOL Although I did like a couple of his songs like Billy Jean (mostly because that's my grandma's name lol), and Smooth Criminal. Anyways.

So I was thinking about buying a human hair wig and just going all out on my hair. Like shaving the sides completely down (still leaving the mohawk and the bangs and sideburns), and dying my hair funky colors. I was looking and I found one that costs about $40. I would only wear the wig at work.

Yep.

I got my chelsea mohawk today. It's pretty sweet.

AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGHHHHHHH

I miss my mohawk. :( sadface. I wish I could find a legitimate work at home business thingy so I can do what I want with my hair and dress how I want... if I even want to get dressed at all!

:(

Welp, when I was on break today I found out that Sam's mom had a stroke yesterday while we were on our way back home from the zoo. I had a feeling something was wrong, but I wasn't sure. I thought I saw her mouth hanging open when I looked at her in the sideview mirror, but the mirror was all distorted so I couldn't tell for sure. But Ed said something to her a few minutes later and she answered just fine. But they went to the hospital after they dropped us off and they ran some tests there. They said she was fine and they couldn't find a cause for her strokes. She had one on Thursday too, but it was a ministroke. I don't know. I'm kinda worried about her. I hope it doesn't happen again.

I believe this is a kookaburra.

Either way, they are bitey.

I believe this is a tamarin monkey of some sort.

I think it's a peacock? It's kind of hard to tell from this picture.

Zoos are fun!

Today was the day that Sam and I went to the zoo in Springfield with his parents. It was a lot of fun and I got a lot of good pictures (and some not so good) of the animals! In a different post I will ... post them. For some reason this thing is being stupid.

freaking SWEET!!

My auction for the book Gonzo is up to $2 now! lol
I'm kinda thinking about selling more stuff...

Thursday, June 11, 2009

So I got this really awesome leather jacket off of ebay the other day. It's a used punk rock jacket. It has seen a lot of concerts and smells awful but it's sooooo awesome! I love it... and I am starting to get used to the smell too. ;D

Also, Metalacolypse is a great cartoon.
DETHKLOK!!!!<33333
So things are going pretty well over here with me and Sam. Both of us have been working a lot so I don't ever have time to update this thing anymore. Not that there's really anything to update you guys on anyways, but oh well. :) On Friday Sam and I are going to the zoo in Springfield with his folks, so that should be fun. I will take lots of pictures of the animals and post what I can on here.

I guess minimum wage is going up to 7.25 here in Missouri in July so I will be getting a raise soon since that's what I'm making right now. I am at level 2 pay, which has to be more than minimum wage, so they have to give me a raise. :D I am kind of excited about that. I am going to be a very happy girl that day! lol We will be able to afford more foodstuffs. :D

Oh, my sister-in-law Christina is pregnant now. They're still not sure what she's having but she's in her 2nd trimester I think. I hope it's a girl.... there are WAAAYYYY too many boys in Sam's family. :P

I think that about wraps it up though. Yarp.

FINALLY!

I finally have time to update this thing! LOL Well not a whole lot has really happened that you guys don't already know about. Well except for maybe Monica, idk. Anywhos.

I am still working at Wal-Mart. It's still pretty good. I got my evals yesterday and did really well. He said the only thing I have to work on is my "sense of urgency" as far as getting stuff done. It's kind of hard to do that when you're spending your entire shift on te phone because they keep pulling the phone operator away to be a flippin' CASHIER, or you get pulled away from your department for a few hours to go be a people greeter (which I was never hired to do in the first place), but whatever. Oh well. It's a job. But he also said that I do great work in making sure the department is neat and tidy at night and I am very personable and helpful to the customers... which is most important.

Sam and I are doing well. We are VERY ready for spring! LOL Sam started his new position at work, so he's doing that twice a week and the rest of his work week is spent in the freezer. They are cutting his hours back at work though, which isn't good. I keep telling him that he needs to apply to Wal-Mart again.

Anyways, that's about it for me.

Hugs,
Cass

Sorry it's been so long since I've updated this thing. My computer's been on the fritz and I've been working a lot lately anyways.

Mom, I just got your message. Sorry I didn't get a chance to call you back tonight, but I didn't get off until 10 and so I figured you were already in bed anyways. :)

Everything is going great here. Work has been really slow since New Year's Eve, which is great because now I can do other things in my department other than putting back returned clothing. The only thing is now it's so dead that I get everything in my department done before 6! LOL But I just go around to the other ladies in the clothing department asking them if they need any help in hopes of keeping myself busy. Which has been working, so I hope that stays that way.

Oh man, there's this one girl that I work with named Stacy and she is soooo annoying. She complains that she can't ever get anything done in her department and yet she will take a 15 minute break every chance she gets. Tonight she wasn't even back from lunch for an hr before she went on another break. And earlier today she tried to start something with another employee who was off the clock. Apparently she said she had everything in her department done last night as far as returned ladies clothes, but when the other girl came in this morning there was still a return cart full of clothes even though she told Jennifer, our manager, that she was done. So later on the other girl came up to talk to another employee at the fitting room (this was after she had punched out for the day), and said something really snotty to her like "Get on those returns!" or something. The other girl just calmly told her that she was off the clock and what she just said to her was harassing her when she's off the clock. So Stacy calls the manager up to tell her that what the other girl was doing was wrong and Stacy ended up being the one to get in trouble. LOL Not to mention she also had gotten a warning earlier in the week because of her taking so many breaks. The manager that had to come to the fitting rooms for all of this is normally the manager of the meat department, so he was PISSED that he had to come to the floor in the first place. When he saw it was because of Stacy, he got even more red in the face because he was the manager that talked to her about her breaks. rofl

I know it's a bad thing to think, but I kinda hope she gets fired.

Anywho. That's about everything though. Not too much has happened outside of work.

We had a really good New Year's Eve. We had some friends over for some drinks... and of course we had them stay the night because we didn't want them drinking and driving. Man was our apartment PACKED!
