I hope everyone had an awesome Christmas! Mine was pretty good, though it was weird not spending it with you all. I miss you guys. I got a lot of really good stuff that I needed. Sam's grandma and grandpa got me a cool Betty Crocker cookbook binder thing with a bunch of recipes and a cake pan, Cindy and Ed (Sam's parents) got us a spice rack with a bunch of spices on it and just for me a fresh baked cookie scented candle, some chocolate flavored chapstick, and some Christmas tree ornaments to put on the tree next year. And Sam got me a new video game called Kingdom Hearts 2 (which is really cool, it has all the Disney movies in it as worlds that you can adventure in), and a glass Christmas ornament... it's a pickle! LOL He's so funny. That one I'm not going to put on the tree though because I'm afraid Buddy (our cat) will get in the tree and break it.

By the way, I'm going to have to get everyone's cards and the boys' presents on my day off. I didn't get a chance to cash my check before Christmas (I got paid on Christmas Eve). Hopefully you guys will get your stuff by next week though.

Okay, so quick update. The other day I had to go to the hospital because I puked up a little bit of blood. The doctor said it was just because I had irritated the lining of my esophagus, but I have bronchitis. Hooray. So he gave me two medications that I have to take. He tried to prescribe me a medication that would have cost us $200!! But we were able to get a MUCH cheaper version for $13. I tell ya, buying medicine is like highway robbery anymore. The common man just gets poorer and poorer, while the price of medicine just keeps getting more and more expensive. It's ridiculous.

But, on a brighter note, I am feeling A LOT better now. I was actually able to go to work yesterday, so that was good. And I get paid tomorrow! But I have to work. LOL Oh well. I hope we get holiday pay for Christmas Eve. Anyways. If I don't get to update this before Christmas, I hope everyone has a wonderful time with friends and family. I miss you all and I will be thinking of you. *HUGS AND KISSES!*

Just thought I would post a quick update since I haven't done so in the past few days.

Well... I have a bad cold. I feel like Poopy McPooperface right now. :( Although at least it's not like it was Sunday where every time I coughed really hard I puked. But now I have a whole new set of symptoms since I got over that one. Sinus pressure, headaches, stuffy/runny nose, etc. Last night I couldn't sleep because of it. They had me work until 10pm, just so I could turn around and be back at 7am. And, since I couldn't sleep, I couldn't get up once I finally DID fall asleep... so I was over an hr late for work this morning. UGH. However, I did find a dollar on the floor at work, so I guess it wasn't all bad. But as the day progressed, the worse I felt, and the worse I felt the busier it got so I kinda just wanted to shoot myself in the face. XD

Also, my workplace is a death trap. Right when I started working some older dude that worked there for 15 yrs. had a heart attack in the meat department and died, 6 months before that an older dude (customer) had a heart attack in the electronics department and died, and just today someone collapsed in the electronics department. I don't know if they died or not though. Death is ninjaing people left and right at my store. EEK!

I had this really weird dream. We were all at the farm in Elsinore for some holiday (I can't remember what it was, but it wasn't Christmas because it was warm outside) but the house didn't look like the house there. And I was on the porch and Sissy came out and we started talking to Grandma Anna's ghost and snuggling with her and stuff, and Candy was there too but she couldn't see or hear grandma. And then, later on in my dream I was going shoe shopping and I was in a wheel chair, but I wasn't paralyzed. I was doing all sorts of tricks through the shoe store in my wheel chair, then I started wondering if talking to grandma was all just a dream.... and then the phone rang and it woke me up.

I got my hair cut today. ^_^ It's really cute. It's kinda like a fade, but more feminine. I'll have to take some pics within the next few days and post them.

Hooray!

I got my first pay check today!! YAY! It was only $95, but man it feels soooo good to have my own money!

Oh yeah... Mom or Sissy, if aunt Sandy ever calls you guys could one of you give her my phone number?

Wednesday, December 10, 2008

hahhahah Oh wow.

I got my first dirty call at Walmart today. Apparently someone wanted to sniff my butt crack. I had to laugh. lol

Saturday, December 6, 2008

Holy crap!

Next time I'm shopping for jeans I'm going to make sure I fold them back up the way I found them if I decide I don't want them. I spent almost my entire 7 hr shift folding jeans today because people don't know how to fold them. Oh well, that's what I get paid for I guess. Although I don't get paid enough to handle stocking hats that people spit chewing tobacco in. Just sayin'.
I forgot to tell you you guys something in my last post. I found out yesterday that I'm related to the lady that trained me. Apparently her father-in-law was my grandpa-in-law's brother. I don't know if that makes her my great aunt or my cousin-in-law. I think my great aunt now that I think about it. But anyways, my ramens are done so I should eat them. ^_^

Friday, December 5, 2008

Oh man.

It is sooo nice to be home after a 9 hr shift. My dogs are barkin'!

I am NOT a morning person!

I get to work from 1-10 today. I didn't realize how grumpy I am in the mornings until now. haha Now I know why Joyce always called me "Sunshine" when I wake up. lol Oh well, it's for a good cause! Oh, by the way, everyone that reads this (family, that is) leave me a list of stuff you want me to get for the kids for Christmas. ;D

I just got back from orientation and start my first day out on the floor tomorrow. I am going to be working from 1-10, but we get a 1 hr lunch so that's not too bad, really. Just 7.5 hrs if you take off the two 15 min breaks too. So yay! The only thing that kinda sucks is that our employee discounts don't come into effect until we've been there for 90 days. But we get a 20% discount so it's worth waiting for.

Well...

I have orientation today. I don't really have any time to write too much right now, but I will tell you guys how it goes when I get back. Wish me luck!

Hopefully this works.

This is supposed to be a picture of my husband Sam. I don't know if it will work or not.

It worked, although this is not his best picture. haha I caught him off guard when playing with the cat.

Hooray!

I got a call from Walmart today. I have orientation on Thursday at 10. ;D They want me to go in dress code (solid blue or green shirt w/ khaki pants), so I had to go to the mall to get some clothes. We went to Steve & Barry's and apparently they're going out of business here, so everything was 30% off! woot! I got two work outfits for $21 and some cents. :D So that's neat! I can't wait to start working. Maybe I will work with my friends Angel and Nick sometimes. Well... actually I won't be working with Nick. He works in the meat department. Angel's more on the sales floor though, so I might end up working with her. At any rate, that is all!

It's been a loooong day.

Today was... well, it was interesting. It kind of got off to a bad start, but kinda got better in the end. It started out with Sam, Cindy, Ed and I all going to the social security office so I could get my name changed on my card... just to find out that we had to go all the way to Carthage (which is about the same distance as from Lowpoint to Peoria) to get a copy of our marriage license. Now I figured if I had our marriage certificate, birth certificate, ID, and the old social security card we'd be okay. Nope. So we went to Carthage, and got a copy of our marriage license (which cost $9 and we had to borrow from Cindy and Ed). We went BACK to the social security office, and we had to wait in line for a bunch of other people before us. And there was this one woman who had two kids with her and it seemed like she just couldn't grasp the concept of watching her kids when she takes them out in public. There were a couple of occasions where her little 1 yr old boy almost went out the door. I felt like smacking her up side the head. At any rate, so it's finally our turn and I get my social security card taken care of. Then we went to Aldi thinking that they took credit cards. Well they do but, as it turns out, they're the only store on the planet that ONLY takes DISCOVER! I mean, what the hell? So, anyways, we ended up having to put a few things back just so we could get $6 worth of food. Hooray.

So I came back to find that Walmart had called me while we were out. So I called them back and they wanted me to come in to finish some paperwork and take a drug test (I had to go somewhere else for that). The manager said that she was going on lunch at 2 and she would be back around 3. So we rushed to get there before 2, but that didn't happen. We had gotten there just as she went on lunch... at 2. To pass the time Sam and Cindy sat and watched Wall-E on one of the TVs in the electronics section while I looked at video games and stuff. 3 comes around, so I go back to the personell office and they told me she hadn't come back from lunch yet and to come back at 3:30. So I was like "wtf okay.." So I killed some more time. FINALLY I get to talk to her and get my paperwork done so I could go to the drug testing facility. Since I had to wait so long for her, I had already gone pee otherwise I would've peed all over myself. And that would have been embarassing. So Sam and I got some sodas and I chugged one down on the way there just so I could fill the cup barely to what I needed it to be. AND I almost farted on my hand. By the time I got home I was getting all cranky and was ready to take a NAP. lol

So that was my day in a nutchell...

YAAAYYY!!!

It's SNOWWWIIINNNGGG!!!

Saturday, November 29, 2008

I was looking at my cousin Corey's facebook a minute ago, and he told a funny story on a note he posted.

"I was making pancakes the other day and a fly flew into the kitchen. And that’s when I realized that a spatula is a lot like a fly-swatter. And a crushed fly is a lot like a blueberry. And a roommate is a lot like a fly eater."

I hope everyone had an awesome Thanksgiving!

My husband and I are trying to conceive and as I was browsing the internet with my handy dandy "stumble" button I came across a very useful website. It's called www.i-am-pregnant.com. The people there are very nice! And they had some really great tips for couples who are trying to conceive. So, if you're trying to conceive, go to that website; it's really helpful!

Nothing new. Got the tree up today. It's pretty neat.

*angry*

My ovaries feel like they're going to jump out of my abdomen and punch somebody in the face. >.<

It's been a few days since I've updated this. Not a whole lot has really happened. Basically we stayed at a friend's house for a few days (coming home to feed Buddy of course) to play some games. It was pretty fun. Then yesterday we went to another friend's house to hang out and drink a little bit.

Today I am making my first slow cooked roast. My apartment smells like onions and it's awesome. ^_^

I'm such a 'tard. lol

Thanksgiving's not until the 27th! I think...

Just in case...

I might not be able to update this before Thanksgiving. So, just in case, happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Why am I up right now?

So it's 5am and I'm up. It's really weird because I'm usually not up until 11 or noon these days. Maybe I'll actually have some semblances of a normal sleep schedule now! Anywho. So I had another dream, that was actually kind of cool instead of just weird.

Sam and I had moved into a place that was much better (and bigger) than where we live now. It was still an apartment, but it was like those really huge ones that you see in places like New York or something. Our main kitchen was as big as our whole apartment that we actually live in now. The smaller one was about three times the size of our actual kitchen, and our bedroom was the size of another one of the apartments in our actual complex irl. We had two dishwashers! The lobby area for all the apartments was enclosed, and the security system was awesome. Buzz-in system and everything. Man, I wish we could actually afford a place like that. That would be so freakin' awesome.

*whew*

Today has been busy, busy, busy. Sam and I spent almost 5 hrs cleaning the apartment today for our inspections tomorrow. As it turned out, once we got into the nooks and crannies, the previous tenants left the place in a bigger mess than we thought. Then we went to a friend's house to play Magic: The Gathering for a few hours. So that was fun. And now I am ready for dinner (at 9pm lol) and relaxation.

By the way, I'm talking about the old abandoned high school in Lowpoint, where I grew up.

Weird

So I had this dream that I was in a relationship with Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails and we had sex (except my dream didn't actually show us having sex). Then I had a dream that Sam, Daphne Moon (the psychic physical therapist from the show Frasier), my mom, and I broke into the old abandoned high school (well there was actually an open door, but we weren't supposed to be in there). And when we entered it was actually an old miniature mansion with five floors. The living room was full of antique furniture and knick knacks. The couch was red with beige pinstripes, and there were pictures all over of the same little girl. They were antique pictures, of course. In my dream I could feel that there was something bad that happened there.

Not much.

There isn't really anything new today.

So, we're getting ready for inspections. (Sam and I live in subsidized housing.) We should be getting some cleaning supplies today to start busting our butts on cleaning the apartment. Well, it's actually not too bad since I clean it regularly. But you know what I mean. On the 18th and 19th they're having the Missouri state Housing Development Commission, but they're inspecting the units at random. So I hope they don't inspect our apartment, but you never know. Hopefully before Monday we'll be able to get that broom vacuum thing by Dirt Devil. I hear it's really good. Maybe I'll still be able to get some new pants. That would be nice. I only have two pairs, and one barely even fits me. Anywho, that's a whole other thing though. lol

Hugs,
C.

New, yo!

Okay well I'm just new to this site, so yeah. I used to have a livejournal but I never check it anymore so I am going to delete it. I hear this place is much better anyways. I will try to update this as much as possible but there might be some gaps in time where I just kinda forget. It happens. Maybe when we get a better computer I'll be able to have a webcam and do video posts. That would be pretty sweet.

So I just recently learned how to play Magic: The Gathering. It's pretty killer. I want to play it right now but Sam (my husband) is in bed, and all the online versions I've tried so far have sucked a lot of butt. So I've been playing online Yahtzee! instead. haha Yeah I know, I'm a dork. But at least I admit it. ;)

Oh yeah, due to my recent nuptials, I will have some wedding pics up here soon enough. :)
